Trollbeads Stories of You Review

Following on from my recent reviews of Trollbeads Limited Edition Aurora bead and the Purple Heaven kit, I thought it a good time to also review the Trollbeads ‘Stories of You’ starter bracelet set.

‘Stories of You’ is the most recent starter bracelet and comprises of a stunning faceted Aurora bead, a beautiful floral lock and of course a bracelet.

Released at the end of September 2013, it closely followed the release of the Purple Heaven Kit, which it complements beautifully.

I have two of the faceted Auroras, both of which are paler versions that look almost opalescent in some lights. The beads I have display beautiful shades of lavender/ lilac, with glimpses of pinkish amber that remind me of a red sky at sunset or dawn. There are also flashes of icey blue.  In contrast to the Aurora beads, the pale faceted Auroras also have some green hues in them, which are stunning (though I have not seen this as much in images of darker versions). This range of colours make it a versatile bead that will work well in many bracelet or necklace compositions.

Here are some photos from different angles …

As you can see in the photo above, the colour is concentrated around the core, with a thick layer of clear facet cut glass surrounding it.

The lock has beautiful floral detailing with flowers on one side and leaves on the others, it works beautifully with the Birth Month Flowers from the Autumn 2013 collection.

Although paler than the Limited Edition Aurora released in April 2013, the paler faceted Auroras complement it well.

In conclusion, this has to be my favourite bead of all time …. and I am sure you can see why!
