Trollbeads Small & Beautiful ‘Peacock’

Today brings a review of one of the most sought after beads from the Small & Beautiful Uniques collection – the Peacock.

After initially being released earlier in 2013, initial stocks of this bead were snapped up and it became increasingly harder to source.

The re-release of Small & Beautiful beads over the last month has seen some new designs, as well as some of the original designs, including the Peacock. There is still some availability at the moment but whether there will be any more of these in future uniques batches remains to be seen.

The pictures below show just why the bead is so coveted.

The rich blues and greens and the ‘eye’ pattern  of this bead depict beautifully a peacocks tail feather. The only thing that could make this bead any more stunning would be a metallic finish to the core patterning.

Below is a picture of the bead from the side to show how the pattern is concentrated around the core.

A beautiful complement to the Small & Beautiful Turquoise Tiger Stripe, this bead is also stunning alongside Amazonite, which really brings out the Peacock’s colours.

If you get the opportunity to add one of these beads to you collection, grab it with both hands! I missed out on getting this bead last year, so I am really pleased that I managed to snap one up to add to my collection this year. This is probably my favourite of the Small & Beautiful beads to date.
