Today brings a review of Trollbeads Limited Edition Pastel Agates. There is very little information available surrounding this mini release (which also included Ocean Jasper), with no official advertising of it from Trollbeads.
As far as I am aware, there are just two retailers in Denmark (Perlen and Diamonds4ever) and one retailer in the UK (Trollbeads Heaven) who will be receiving some of these beads. Three retailers in the US (including Trollbeads NYC and Trollbeads at South Park) are said to be receiving some of the Ocean Jasper, but I am unsure as to whether they will also receive the Pastel Agates.
Thanks to Perlen (Denmark), I was lucky enough to secure a beautiful pink, blue and green version of the Pastel Agates. They had individually photographed the beads which beautifully showed the detail, so I was lucky enough to get in early and choose the ones that I wanted. Later that day, I had another look on there site and there was only a couple remaining, which is a testimony as to how fast these beads have sold out.
These are dyed stones, however this does not detract from their beauty. As you will see from the individual photographs below, the subtle semi-opaque pattern within the stone gives them a soft appearance, even though the base colour of the stones are quite strong, and not what I would class as ‘pastel’.
Worn together, they give a beautiful rainbow effect. I have put them with the Faceted Aurora beads from last year’s ‘Stories of You’ release, which embrace the ‘rainbow’ theme and give a somewhat magical look.
I wish I had also invested in one of the yellow and purple versions now as I like these so much!
This is a release that I am so pleased I managed to add to my collection. I will review the Ocean Jasper separately in my next post!
