This post brings some Trollbeads inspiration, where dark meets light and soft meets edgy.
After finally purchasing a Fantasy Necklace with Onyx in the recent promotion, I could not resist also getting the Troll Tree Fantasy Pendant. This had been a pendant that had long remained on my wishlist, but kept getting overlooked as I always thought it looked better on the Onyx necklace than the Pearl, and until now I hadn’t owned one.
Rather than styling the Troll Tree with the more obvious combinations of greens, browns, oranges, purples or perhaps blues (colours that I would associate with nature or mystic), I decided to instead dress the Troll Tree in something very pretty, feminine and pink … the beautiful glass bead ‘Mother’s Rose‘!
I have to admit, I do have a bit of an obsession with pink, and when I first got the Mother’s Rose bead, it quickly made its way on to my beloved Trollbeads Skeleton Necklace. I am not quite sure how he felt being dressed in pink roses but I think he looked very handsome!
I often team my necklaces with matching bracelets / bangles (or vice versa), and this design was no exception. Here I used the Mother’s Rose and Prince & Princess bead for the ‘soft /light ‘side and Sahara Night Facet and Fairy for the ‘dark/edgy’ side. In between I put the Rose of June silver bead.
I absolutely love these pieces as they describe my style perfectly. My wardrobe varies from long feminine floaty dresses to black leather trousers and sheer chiffon blouses. Most of my clothes are blush or dusky pink (no surprises there!), black, white or cream and grey; so these beads complement it perfectly.
There are so many varied pieces in the Trollbeads collection that it create endless possible combinations, allowing the wearer to completely personalise their jewellery to their own tastes, mood or outfit. It is this versatility, along with the beauty and quality of the pieces that I personally find so special. I would love to hear from other readers which beads they feel best describe their style 🙂
