This year Trollbeads have specifically launched a global ‘Black Friday’ bead. Released on November 27th, this bead is a limited edition and has proved highly popular.
Designed by Lise Aagaard, this is a faceted glass bead with random patches of copper sparkle. From a distance the core appears black, however when the bead catches the light it does have a slight burgundy hint to it.
This bead is a perfect complement to the copper bangle and is a lovely bead to add a bit of sophisticated sparkle to a Christmas outfit.
The bead retails at £45 / €51 / $56, though between Black Friday and Cyber Monday the bead was on promotion with 25% discount.
Today we see the release of Trollbeads Christmas 2015 collection, ‘Warm Greetings‘.
Here are some live close up images of some of the collection along with my initial impressions / reviews.
Firstly, here are the pictures ….

The highlight of the collection for me actually has to be ‘Snowman Frost & Lady Thaw‘. The way that two tone silver has been used to accentuate different parts of the bead really makes it stand out. Lady Thaw and the Snowman’s hat are in a darker gun metal silver while the rest of Snowman Frost, including his hands are in a more polished silver. It is a lovely little bead and a great complement to ‘Singing in the Snow‘ from last year’s Christmas collection.
The other bead that really surprised me is ‘Fireworks‘. I initially overlooked this bead but it is a great design that is versatile for use well beyond the festive season. It makes an excellent complement to ‘Winter Snow‘, and is pictured below alongside it.
The glass are all very sparkly, especially the Holly Jolly Beads kit. Some collectors may find however that the designs are very familiar to the run of uniques beads we saw released just before last Christmas. The blue bead with the white stars on from the Holiday Beads kit has a sparkly core, which is more obvious in real life than on the stock photos.
Go Christmas Crazy is a very intricate bead, but also a large one, which is reflected in the higher price. Mittens is a sweet bead, though personally I would have preferred it to be slightly smaller and more dainty.
Blooming Hearts is very pretty, and I actually think this would have been perfect for a Valentines release.
The Diamond Bead, Emerald Green is very sparkly, though not for me personally as I don’t tend to be a green person. However it looks amazing with the Holly Jolly Beads Kit.
All in all this is a nice and festive release, reflecting not only the Christmas festive period but also the winter season. It is bright and sparkly and will also work well with last years glass kits.
This post brings news of two new gold beads being added to Trollbeads collection of 18k gold beads.
Last autumn we saw Trollbeads launch a mini collection named ‘Gold Love Art’, and this year sees similar though i have not seen an official name as yet.
The two new beads are already available in the main collection in silver …
Path of Life , Gold (£520 / €651 / $714)
Hearts Galore, Gold (£267 / €334 / $372)
The beads are included in a promotion which runs from 2nd October until 31st December 2015. In the promotion, the purchase of any gold bead entitles you to a free silver bangle with silver stoppers or a free silver bracelet with either the Plain Lock or Flower Lock. From the way that it reads on Trollbeads official website, the free bangle is available with orders via their website, and the free bracelet is available through retailers. I don’t know if there will be any flexibilty on this.
These are two popular silver designs and ones that I see being welcomed in gold.
This post bring a review of Trollbeads Fall 2015 collection.
Named the ‘Mythic Nature’ Collection, this release features mythical creatures, woodland flora & fauna, and the night sky. Encapsulated in intricate silvers and stunning rainbow coloured glass, the addition of copper glitter to the glass gives a magical touch.
This article is very pic heavy, but hopefully gives my readers a feel of this beautiful collection.

First up is the Balance of Nature Kit. The first picture is of one single kit, the next photos are two of each bead side by side.
I think this kit is absolutely stunning, and due to the range of colours has the versatility to work in a number of bracelets.
Below is the Phoenix, from the initial stock images I wasn’t overly impressed with the design … but then once I realised that it was meant to encapsulate two beads my impression changed dramatically. The attention to detail is beautiful, particularly to the tail feathers on the back. Here is is nestled between two Feldspar Moonstones. The Moonstones are amazing, close up they have a lovely iridescent sheen to them.
Here is the Love Dragon. This is a nice bead however I was slightly disappointed that it was hard to make out the dragon’s face, though this was compensated by the attention to detail on its back. At some point I think a dragon with open wings (in the style of the silver US ‘Wings of Freedom’ bead ) would be nice addition to the collection.
Next is the Merman of Wisdom and Mushrooms ….
This photo gives an good idea of the Smile of Starsand Dragonfly Beauty beads. The Dragonfly Beauty is quite a contemporary design and Smile of Stars seems appropriate as we near the darker nights as summer draws to an end.
Trollbeads Unicorn is absolutely lovely, and here are some photos from different angles for you …
What follows now is a bracelet that I have put together using the new collection and also some older beads …
I couldn’t resist just including a couple of photos of the Fantasy Necklace with Amethyst from the Animale Fantastico Collection, as it goes so well with the glass from this release and it really is stunning. Mine is a beautiful rich shade of purple.
This post brings live images of the two beads that form the Trollbeads Halloween collection for 2015, which is released as part of the Fall 2015 collection.
Trollbeads already have a number of Halloween themed beads in the collection, including a pumpkin, skeleton, spider, bats and a glow in the dark bead.
This year adds two new beads; one silver and one glass.
The silver bead, ‘Heart Catcher‘, is a cobweb design in the form of a disc shaped bead, featuring a small spider on one side and a small heart on the other. It retails at £45 / €51 / $56.
The glass bead ‘Trick or Treat‘ is orange in colour with inclusions of a bat, black cat, pumpkin and skull within the bead. It retails at £45 / €51 / $56
Here are some live photos …
I have a very big and very real fear of spiders, and could not bring myself to wear the silver ‘Spider’ that is already in the collection; however I actually really like the cobweb design. It is a nice spacer bead and i like the the fact that it has some dimension to it rather than being totally flat.
As you can see from the side view of the glass bead, a lot of work has gone in to making this bead. It may not be to everyone’s taste but no none can deny the workmanship that has gone in to making it. As far as I understand, the glass bead is Limited Edition.
I know that Halloween is popular with a lot of Trollbeads collectors and I am sure that this release will please them .
This post brings details of Trollbeads Halloween collection for 2015.
Halloween always seems to prove popular with Trollbeads collectors, and over the past few years Trollbeads have put together a nice collection of Halloween themed beads.
This year two new beads are added to the Halloween themed range, one silver and one glass.
The silver bead, ‘Heart Catcher‘, is a cobweb design in the form of a disc shaped bead, featuring a small spider on one side and a small heart on the other. It will retail at £45 / €51 / $56.
The glass bead ‘Trick or Treat‘ is burnt orange in colour with inclusions of a bat, black cat, pumpkin and skull within the bead. This bead is designed by Nozomi Kaji, known for the stunning beads ‘Ageless Beauty’ and ‘Blooming Sakura’ which had floral detail in the same style. It will retail at £45 / €51 / $56
These beads and the rest of the Halloween themed beads in the existing collection will look great of the new ‘Pumpkin & Grape leather bracelet’ from Trollbeads Fall 2015 collection.
This post brings full details of Trollbeads Fall 2015 collection, ‘Mythic Nature’.
Making it’s debut on this Friday, September 4th, this is a large release including 2 glass kits, 1 stone kit, 2 individual faceted stones, 16 silver beads, 3 different sets of complementary jewellery pieces (including earrings, studs and rings), 2 new locks, a new style of Fantasy Necklace with 3 new pendants, and 2 new leather bracelets.
Here we go!
Two glass kits are included in this release. One kit it in a similar style to the Sparkle Kit from Spring 2014, but in deeper shades more apt for the autumn. Those who love the variation in the Blue Desert bead will love this kit! I adore rainbow colours and having being hoping Trollbeads would desin a kit like this for some time. The second kit is designed by Gail Crossman, who designed the Native Elements Kitand continues her style of brighter colours and includes another triangular bead. Both kits retail at £125/ € 155 / $170 or beads are available individually for £25 / €31 / $34.
Two new locks are introduced. They are very ‘simple’ in design in contrast to the heavily detailed locks we have seen of late. Personally I like the more intricate detailed locks but I can see the appeal of these to those who prefer the the more simplistic style of the plain lock or also as another lock option for a mans bracelet.
Soft Wind of Change Lock £45 / €52 / $59
Lock of Wisdom £40 / €48 / $56

Pumpkin & Grape
Cherry & Sage
Being a ‘pink person’ I lean towards the ‘Cherry & Sage’ version, but the ‘Pumpkin & Grape’ will look great with Halloween beads!
So much to choose from! Whilst I like the glass within the Beauty Berries’ Pendant, unfortunately it is one of the more expensive pieces if you include the new style chain, and personally I would definitely have to take preference with the Amethyst Fantasy Necklace from the ‘Animale Fantastico’ Collection. That being said, I appreciate the versatility of the new fantasy necklace concept and see that it has great potential. Pre-orders are now being accept ready for the release on Friday.
Tomorrow sees the release of Trollbeads ‘Animale Fantastico’ collection. Here are full details and pictures!
The collection comprises of a range of fantasy pendants in the style of ‘Night Owl’ and ‘Jewel of the Sea’, where the silver bead is in two halves with a glass bead worn in the middle. The idea seems to be that you can mix and match to create your own mythical / fantasy creature. The name of the collection conjures up the idea of a circus theme, and these pendants would look great with some of the brighter unique beads from last year. They will also be fun to put with the new ‘Dreams of Freedom‘ glass kit from the upcoming Fall 2015 collection.
The designs include cat, elephant, fish, frog and mouse. The designs include a good amount of detailing, which I know is important to many collectors, and the pieces are not too ‘cute’ which I know can be another criticism among Trollbeads fans.
Trollbeads Cat (£95 / €110 / $121)
Trollbeads Elephant (£95 / €110 / $121)
Trollbeads Fish (£95 / €110 / $121)
Trollbeads Frog (£95 / €110 / $121)
Trollbeads Mouse (£95 / €110 / $121)
Also joining the collection are two new Fantasy Necklaces one with an Amethyst stone, the other with a Malachite stone. These are similar in size to the onyx fantasy necklace stone as opposed to the Limited Edition Amethyst Fantasy Necklace from 2010. The new Fantasy Necklaces come in the usual range of lengths from 60 cm to 120 cm and the prices range from £105 – £140 / €142 – €186 / $178 – $233.
