Released in March 2011, this of six beads in matte colours is inspired by the colors and patterns of a Japanese silk kimono. Designed by a Japanese designer, it is also made from Japanese glass.
The launch of this kit occurred just a few days after the devastating Japanese earthquake and tsunami, and in light of this, Trollbeads announced that a percentage of the profits would be donated to the cause.
The beads from left to right are: Ume (white with red blossom), Seigaiha (green with stripes), Sakura (pink with cherry blossom), Shibori bead (pale blue with diamond shapes), Tsuru bead (green with birds) and Mon bead (dark blue with circles).
This limited edition release comprised of kits of twelve precious and semi precious gemstones.
The stones in each kit were chosen at random from a number of gemstones including rose quartz, labradorite, snowflake obsidian, tiger’s eye, amethyst, lava stone, jade, jasper, amazonite, turquoise, rhyolite, bloodstone, feldspar, chrysoprase, nephrite, opal, agate, goldstone and even fossil coral! The stones were a mix of cabochon faceted styles.
The Spring 2011 collection brings two new glass kits, and four semi precious gem stone kits. There is also a new single gemstone addition, and some golds and silvers. along with a new pendant / dangle bead and also a fantasy pendant.
