Following on from my review of Trollbeads Limited Edition Pastel Agates, this post brings a review of the Limited Edition Ocean Jasper that were released at the same time.
Firstly, a big thank you must go to Perlen, who so very kindly sent me these Ocean Jasper as a complimentary gift! I am absolutely delighted with them and have teamed them with my set of Trollbeads Summer Stones from last year, as you will see in the photos in the rest of this post.
At first glance, these stones may look quite plain, particularly in comparison to the bright colours of the Pastel Agates. However, close up, the Ocean Jasper is equally as stunning in its own right. It is a grey coloured stone which has deep red veins running through it and a beautiful cream-yellow bubble texture appearance that make it stand out among other neutral stones. The patterning reminds of the effect you get if you blow paint through a straw onto some paper.
Whilst so far I have just teamed the Ocean Jasper with other natural stones, I am sure it will fit in nicely with glass beads as well. It certainly works well alongside silver and I can imagine a bracelet of just Ocean Jasper alternated with the silver Birth Month Flowers would look amazing!
Here are some photos of the Ocean Jasper alongside Trollbeads Summer Stones and silver Birth Month Flowers.
As with the Pastel Agates, these Limited Edition Ocean Jasper were limited to a select number of retailers including two in Denmark, three in the US and one in the UK. When I looked on Perlen today, there were still some Ocean Jasper available .
If you are undecided on this bead, I would definitely go for it, as I am sure you would not be disappointed. I would however recommend getting them as soon as possible whilst there are still some available, particularly in light of how fast the Pastel Agates were sold out.
Once again, a very big Thank You to Perlen, your gift really made my day!
