The Trollbeads Autumn 2013 collection brings three underlying themes: Birth Flowers, Love and Family, and Nature. In my opinion, this is one of the strongest releases to date. Below will follow a brief look at the release, with detailed reviews to follow in the future.
Two glass kits feature under the theme of nature. The first is the Purple Heaven kit, representing the “distinct feeling of constant movement reminiscent of orbits in the universe”. This kit follows on the theme from the immensely popular Limited Edition Aurora bead, released earlier in the year. This kit works beautifully with the floral silvers from this release. (Kits £115 / £23 single bead).

The second glass kit is the Native Elements kit, “with its calming pistachio green, jasmine orange touch and aqua blue edges this kit catches the essence of sprouting nature”

There are also two beautiful engraved glass beads and two faceted glass beads. (£32 each).

A highlight of this collection may undoubtedly be the introduction of a new precious gemstone – Sapphire (silver core). As with all natural gemstones, there is quite a bit of variation in these, with differing amounts of blue / grey and a range of shades from pale to dark. (£115)

Each month has an associated Birth Month Flower, and these have been intricately sculpted in silver, inset with a beautiful pearl. (£45 for February / March /June / December, £41 for other months).

Finally, the remaining silvers of the collection represent the theme of Love and Family. However, the Skeleton Spirit, and Ghost Fighters definitely have a ‘Halloween’ feel to them, particularly when teamed with the faceted glass from this release. (Grandma / Grandpa / Skeleton Spirit £56 each, Diamond in the Rough £48, Baby Buggy £35, Prince & Princess / I Luv U / Ghost fighters £23 each, Water lock £43).
